Newspaper
Log Maker
Why
not take advantage and recycle your used newspapers, magazines and
envelopes into paper logs which can then be used on an open fire or in
a wood or multi-fuel burner.
A newspaper
log maker is also ideal for converting all the junk mail and free
newspapers that regularly drop through your letterbox, into free
heating.
The
process is simple. Wet the newspapers or mail by placing them into a
bowl or bucket of water. Once they start to break down, remove them and
squeeze to get rid of any excess water. Then place the soggy paper into
the paper log maker. Once full, press the handles to create the brick
shape log. Remove the log and place somewhere to dry. After it has
dried in can be used on an open fire or in a fuel burner, where it
should burn for up to two hours.
The
average family could produce around 50 paper logs per month by
recycling their newspapers, magazines, envelopes and junk mail. Which
should make a significant saving to the annual heating costs.
Using
a newspaper log maker through the summer months when an open fire is
not needed, ensures you have a good stock of paper
logs when
the colder weather returns. |
